Dean’s first report from Nozawa, Japan

I was starved the other day, tummy really rumbling, saw a nice looking cafe, thought I’d check out the menu:
(word for word as scralled into my palm pilot)

KURAGE SU – Vinegared jelleyfish
AYU MISOZUKE – A Raw Riverfish that is soaked in miso for two months.
INAGO – Locusts wok-fried in sweet “soy” mixture
HACHI NOKO – Bee larva

I left…and ate at home..much later.


Hopefully they wash the rice first…
